Purist Push-Pull from a Single Ended guy....

I had a lot of fun building this amp.. listening with an open mind... making lots of changes... and I kept it single ended until the very last stage... even one of the two output stages is being fed the SE signal.. the other side is fed from a nickel inverting 1:1 interstage transformer...

and copper plate GM70's...mmmm... yummy... a fantastic valve.. one of the few big valves that "gets it right"..... and implemented in deep class A1, of course...

then came the same goodies that I use SE... big mercury 872a's.. oil caps in the power supply... the nickel interstages... and massive double C-cored custom amorphous output transformers from Intact Audio...

and did I say fantastic bass?  yes, fantastic bass to go with that push-pull clarity....
